❓ FAQ - NeoKaraoke Professional

🎤 General and Usage

1. What is NeoKaraoke Professional? +

It is an advanced karaoke management system aimed at events and commercial establishments. It allows you to control singer queues, online requests via QR Code, interval music, and sound effects in a single professional interface.

2. Does the system need the internet to work? +

For playing local songs and controlling the singer queue, no. However, internet is required to receive online requests via QR Code and to download new videos directly through the system.

3. What are the minimum requirements? +

The system runs on Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) and requires VLC Media Player and K-Lite Codec Pack installed. We recommend a secondary video output (HDMI or VGA).

📁 Formats and Files

4. What video formats does the system accept? +

We support the main formats on the market: .mp4, .mkv, .avi, .webm, and .mov.

5. Does the system play ZIP files (MP3+CDG)? +

Yes! NeoKaraoke has a smart extractor. Just add the .zip file to the queue and the system extracts the content and syncs the audio with the lyrics automatically.

6. Can I use my own interval music? +

Absolutely. In the Break tab, you can configure your own music folders (.mp3, .wav, .flac) and organize them by theme.

📱 Online Requests (Web)

7. How do my customers request songs via mobile? +

You display a QR Code on the big screen or tables. The customer scans it, chooses the song from an online catalog, and the request instantly appears on your control screen.

8. Do online requests skip the local singer queue? +

No. NeoKaraoke has a Smart Approval rule: web requests enter a waiting list and are only approved (automatically or manually) when they reach the top of the queue.

9. Can I disable online requests at any time? +

Yes. On the control panel, you have a button to pause or resume receiving web requests instantly.

🔊 Audio Features (FX and Break)

10. What are the FX buttons (Sound Effects)? +

They are 4 quick buttons to trigger sound effects (like applause, laughter, or horns) without interrupting the currently playing song. You can configure your own sounds for these buttons in the settings menu (F1).

11. What is the system's Crossfade? +

It is a smooth transition feature between interval songs. Just like a DJ, the system lowers the volume of the current song while increasing the next, eliminating the silence between tracks.

12. Does the interval music volume lower by itself when the singer starts? +

Yes. The Auto-Fade feature gently reduces the break volume as soon as you start a karaoke video and resumes it at the end of the performance.

🛠️ Support and Settings

13. How do I update my song catalog on the website? +

The system has an FTP Deploy function. Whenever you add or rename songs in your folders, the system can automatically sync these changes with your web server.

14. The karaoke video is not opening, what should I do? +

Make sure the VLC executable path is correctly configured in the F1 menu. The system relies on VLC to ensure the best image and sound quality.

15. I changed hardware or lost my key, what should I do? +

Following the OEM licensing policy (similar to Windows), your license is tied exclusively to the original hardware set. In case of replacing any component, a new license will be required. For recoveries on the same equipment, contact support providing your "KID".
